This one-of-a-kind experience will begin with a walking tour of the Centro Historico – the heart of the city – enjoying Plaza Tapatio & Plaza de la Liberacion, Cathedrals, historic colonial-style buildings, and prominent museums. One of many highlights includes a museum to view the grandiose murals of Jose Clemente Orozco, one of Mexico’s three greatest muralists.
Day Trips include a visit to the town of Tequila via Cuervo Tequila train, to include tastings and cultural celebrations, the artisan towns of Tlaquepaque, as well as a day trip to Lake Chapala.
The fun does not stop at the end of the day; Guadalajara offers many exceptional Mexican cuisines and a great nightlife around Avenida Chapultepec and the historic center.
Itinerary
Guests will arrive at GDL airport, and transportation will be provided to the hotel. Guests will be checked in to the hotel centrally located in Guadalajara Centro Historico. Dinner at a local traditional restaurant will be arranged for guests that arrive before 6 pm. Optional – An evening visit to Plaza de los Mariachis
Our day will begin with coffee and breakfast at the hotel. Then on to explore the historic downtown:
El Centro Historico has a pedestrian walkways that lead to Cathedrals, historic colonial-style buildings, and plazas.
We will enjoy the Palacio Principal, and visits to 3 beautiful plazas, Plaza Tapatio & Plaza de La Liberacion & Plaza Guadalajara .

Cultural Cabanas, a museum that houses the strikingly grandiose murals of Jose Clemente Orozco, one of Mexico’s three greatest muralists of his most famed creations, the allegory of The Man of Fire.

Teatro Degollado is a neoclassical Mexican theater known for its diverse performances and artistic design.
The Cathedral of the Assumption of Our Lady is one of the most prominent religious buildings in the city. This holy place is a Roman Catholic cathedral. While the original cathedral was founded in 1541, the present one was constructed in Renaissance style with fine neo-gothic towers.
Return to hotel to rest, then a fun evening with Mariachi’s and dinner at Las Casa Bariachi.

We will begin our day with a visit to the Expiatory Temple of the Blessed Sacrament, the second most important temple in the city unique for its architecture. Then on to the artisan town of Tlaquepaque. A quaint town that represents old Mexico. The highlight is the wide pedestrian walkway filled with beautiful houses restored to restaurants, art galleries, and boutiques.
Highlights include “Sergio Bustamante Gallery,” “Quetzal,” and “Del Corazon De La Tierra” boutiques and a visit to El Parian, which has 18 different restaurants and bars that share a central patio, with Mariachis perform throughout the day, and tequila flows easily. Continue enjoying the Ceramic Museum or the many shops that sell Mexican art, clothing, decor, and jewelry.
Evening dinner at Santo Coyote, a traditional but modern restaurant in Guadalajara, where you will eat traditional food and enjoy festive Mexican dancers and Musicians.

Day trip to nearby Lake Chapala, the largest lake in Mexico. We will stroll on the beautiful shore of Lake Chapala, with amazing landscapes, relaxing views, delicious food along the lakeside; we will enjoy a mid-day meal at a traditional lakeside restaurant. The last stop will be a visit to Ajijic, a small town known for its incredible murals full of colors and Mexican tradition.
Return to the Hotel, rest, then have dinner at a local Mexican restaurant in the historic district.
