What to Expect:
Join your hosts : Melissa Rojas- Chasing Camilla and Rose Mendoza - Dulce Vida Travel collaboration, to celebrate Amigas, con las compras while enjoying cafeito y chimes!
The tour will consist of daily guided shopping and cultural experiences led by Melissa Rojas & Rose Mendoza. Each walk is marked by Mexican cultural stores, meet the artist, art galleries, colonial architecture, tucked-away Placitas, and the all-important people-watching in El Jardin!
The Centro Historico houses an extensive number of boutiques, both contemporary and folk art-themed. The experiences Includes daily group breakfast, mid-day cafe/lunch, and the best of San Miguel dinners, and optional after-dinner drinks at rooftop bars and restaurants.
Important Note - The experience in San Miguel de Allende will include daily walking on cobblestone streets and uneven sidewalks, which is not ideal if guests require assistance with walking and or have dietary restrictions.
Itinerary
Day 1 March 13 - Arrival & Check-in -Welcome Dinner
Arrive at Leon Airport BJX, roundtrip transportation will be provided to San Miguel de Allende, approx 90 minutes drive.
Check-in - Hotel Carmina followed by a tour of El Jardin, then dinner at "The Restaurant At Sollano"
Day 2 -March 14 Mercado de Artesenias
Breakfast followed by:
“Artisans Alley” also known as Mercado de Artesenias, is a market at Plaza Lanatón that stretches across several streets with stalls selling beautiful handmade artisanal crafts and gifts, at affordable prices. It is a must-visit, as you will get the full Mercado experience. Your guide will point out the best shops that offer quality goods, including silver jewelry, day of the Dead figurines, and home décor. To include an artist meet and greet.
Lunch Encanto Cafe -San Miguel's most charming restaurant is known for their colorful folk art designs and Mexican food.
Afternoon Walking tour of the Centro Historico Calle Relox and Hidalgo enjoying many boutiques along the way, such as “La Victoria”, and an afternoon cafeito break. We can enjoy an ice cream & people-watch in the Jardin. Guests can rest until dinner or continue enjoying the shops.
Dinner will be hosted in "El Carajillo" , followed by Mariachis in El Jardin, or evening drinks a "La Sirena Gorda"
Day 3 March 15 - Brunch & Calle Aldma #1 Instragm Photo Op!
We will begin our day enjoying a fantastic brunch at Hacienda de Santuario. Housed in a beautiful historic home located in the famous Calle Aldama. Take selfies that captures the essence of San Miguel de Allende. After brunch, we will wander Calle Aldma and Cuna de Allende and head over to Calle Zacateros & Umaran for unique folk art and dress shopping.
Cafecito break at La Colmena panaderia.
Afrernoon we will continue shopping Las Calles de San Franciso and Calle Mesones, including boutiques, antiques, and shoe stores.
Dinner will be hosted in the rooftop setting of "La Dona" restaurant.
Optional to enjoy Mexican hot chocolate and Churros from St. Augustin, or after dinner drinks at La Aozteca rooftop bar.
Day 4 March 16 - Adelante Con Las Compras!
Breakfast - The quaint and historic Maria Xconstle
Continue exploring the streets of San Miguel de Allende to include Calle Herdez Macias.
The afternoon break will be Petite Four Bakery and/or JOEFHI Chocolates
Dinner will be hosted at the elegant Rosewood Hotel, followed by optional after-dinner drinks at "La Luna Rooftop Bar" rated the best rooftop bar in San Miguel.
Day 5 March 17 - Secret Sancha Shopping
On our final day, breakfast at "El Correo" and free day to wander San Miguel de Allende. Last Minute Shopping and many cultural experiences to include La Bibloteca or Bellas Artes. La Fabrica Aurora offering many galleries.
Cafecito Break at Lavanda Cafe
Dinner "El Parque Restaurant, a beautiful Sierra Belmont property. Amigas will enjoy "Secret Sancha" gift exchange.
Day 6 March 18 -Depart
Last day in magical San Miguel de Allende, pack your treasures, an airport transfer will be provided to the Leon airport.
