Dia De Los Muertos Celebrations

San Miguel de Allende MX

October 29-November 4 2023

San Miguel de Allende is named “Best Small City in the World” by all major travel magazines.  The town is home to over 250 boutiques, galleries, and restaurants, all walkable! Travelers enjoy the best Mexico has to offer, in this quaint, charming historic town. Shoppers love the town, as they have access to art, fashion, and cuisine at affordable prices. Located 2 hours north of Mexico City.

Dia De Los Muertos celebrations are alive and festive in San Miguel de Allende. The town is host to A Catrina Parade and a weeklong public party - that features several parades, evening celebrations with name DJs, art installations, dances, plays, and public altars in the streets around the Jardin.

Rose Mendoza, owner of Dulce Vida Travel & Mexican culture expert, will be your host and guide.

What to Expect

This tour is perfect for solo travelers, a romantic getaway, or best amigas!

Enjoy this one-of-a-kind all-inclusive experience with an expert guide, Rose Mendoza as she leads the group on a shopping and cultural experience. Each walk is marked by sophisticated stores, art galleries, and tucked-away Placitas. The Centro Historico houses an extensive number of boutiques, both contemporary and folk art-themed. If you are a shopper then you will enjoy the boutiques that offer quality silver jewelry, clothing, rebozos, and home décor.

We will walk on cobblestone streets and peek into an archway that will lead you to a calming patio that offers cute shops and refreshing drinks/coffee. The town has fun bakeries, that offer Mexican treats, such as The Blue Door Bakery, offering traditional Mexican bread.

On November 1st, the group will participate in the evening Catrinas Parade includes face painting, dress-up, and walking throughout the streets of San Miguel de Allende! We will enjoy a walking tour of the important landmarks and public Ofrendas (alters).

Does require the ability to walk comfortably as the streets are cobblestone and uneven. Regarding special diets, we cannot guarantee special diets can be accommodated.

Guests must be able to walk comfortably and manage 1 flight of stairs, as the hotel and many of the restaurants include stairs, without the assistance of an elevator. This is a group tour of up to 15 guests, both men, and women.
