In most rural communities crafts are made in the artisans’ spare time, being farming their main activity, these artists are typically self-taught; as well as an artist with artist workshops. An artisan or folk artist is often described as a person skilled in a specific art form and hand-crafts distinctive designs in small quantities using traditional methods.
